I'll always remember his joie de vivre and his generous way of treating everyone as an equal. You could always find Horace in a crowd with his booming laugh and crowd of friends. The industry has lost a fantastic leader and friend who deserves emulation on many fronts. I met Horace the first day he arrived at Mission Viejo Company as an intern from Harvard and was delighted to count him as a good friend ever since.
